GLPA hosted the 46th Annual Meeting and Educational Conference, with the theme of "Music in the Delta." The events hosted over the weekend included six hours of education, a social at the Eastland Law Offices, the certification recognition luncheon, annual business meeting, board of directors meeting and a special session conducted by reknowned professional motivational speaker Dale Smith Thomas, Founder and President of Winners by Choice. Saturday night's installation dinner was held at the Greenwood Country Club, with the theme of the "Greenwood Grammy Awards" - this event celebrated the 2008 Award of Excellence presentation to Reba Peden, PP, PLS of Tri-County LSPA and the installation of the state officers for 2008-09, under the leadership of Greenwood's own Lisa Roberts, PLS as President.
